The best places to go in and around Toronto? I’ve always been told that the Niagara Falls are the most impressive from the Canadian side which was the reason to go to Toronto, but there is much more to explore in Toronto.

Cycling in Toronto as dutchies we are used to cycle around. You can book different cycletours which take you through the city. We grabbed a bike via bikeshare. We started our day by cycling to Cherry Beach. You can see and absorb the city instead of going by subway underground.
Cherrybeach is a really nice get away from the city with a nice view on the island. In the summer people are swimming, kayaking, supping or sailing here, but we just enjoyed the scenery and walked along the beach. We continued our trip and took another bike to harbourfront.
Harbour front is great for a nice stroll along the harbour front you can also skate, run, cycle or just enjoy the scenery. Various ferries depart from the harbour front to Toronto Island where you can explore the island with a biketour.
We continued our route to Little Italy, easily you can pass by this. we were looking for one street, but it’s a whole part of the city. We cycled back as we thought we had found a nice street to walk through. Apparently, we were at Kensington Market . A nice neighborhood with a lot of street art, artists, food, music and bars. A bit like walking into a festival street.
CN Tower is close to the harbourfront. We booked the CN Tower for the evening which was really nice to be at and see all the lights of the city.
The Toronto sign was really close to our hotel and attracts a lot of people during the day and evening. Therefor we got up an early morning and managed to have only the Toronto sign on the picture. It’s a nice square where various events take place as well. Right next to it you find Old City Hall and the Toronto Eaton Centre. A really big mall where you can shop till you drop.
Our stay
Our hotel had the best location in downtown Toronto which makes it perfect. When you like to enjoy some good music or have a drink, there are many bars,shops and dining establishments.
From the airport Toronto Pearson to Union Station takes about 30 minutes express train Toronto.
